Indigenous tribe occupy land on Table Mountain

A group of indigenous people are occupying a piece of land in Cecilia Forest on the Table Mountain reserve. They maintain that their presence is legal under international law, however, SANParks has confirmed that a land invasion complaint has been lodged at the Wynberg police station against the group.

Tribe member Shaun MacDonald says that they want to have their economic rights protected and therefore benefit from the various projects associated with Table Mountain.
