Mobile businesses in the informal sector have welcomed the City’s proposed policy that will provide more spaces for this part of the economy.

The Food Truckers Association’s Head of Commercial Operations Rob Munro says that they have struggled during the last two years due to the impact of the lockdown regulations.

He says that the City of Cape Town has since engaged with them to find ways to grow this sector, and provide support.

The City will table the Mobile Business Policy at the Portfolio Committee on Economic Growth this Friday.
