The DA has called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to fire his entire Cabinet.
Party leader John Steenhuisen tabled the motion of no confidence against the Cabinet, citing Section 102 of the Constitution if the president doesn’t fire his Cabinet himself. The call was made during the first day of debating Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) that was delivered last Thursday.
Steenhuisen listed numerous ministers the main opposition felt shouldn’t be in Cabinet, namely Lindiwe Sisulu and Police Minister Bheki Cele.
“President Cyril Ramaphosa has proven to be all talk and no action,” says Steenhuisen.
Meanwhile, EFF leader Julius Malema shared a similar sentiment to the DA, pleading with President Cyril Ramaphosa not to run for a second term.
