Motorists will see further delays in receiving their driving licence cards, as the printing machine has broken down again.

The Department of Transport says that it should be back in service in three weeks’ time.

Spokesperson, Collen Msibi says that the machine broke after undergoing routine maintenance last month.

The machine now requires a replacement of a critical part from the manufacturer.

Msibi has however urged the public to continue applying for their driving licences.

Last October saw the start of a backlog in licence production, and then Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula had blamed the outage on load shedding.
