Former Eskom CEO, Andre de Ruyter says that he had notified all relevant authorities about the allegations of cartels eating away at the utility’s resources.

He is before Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts.

de Ruyter has reiterated the allegations he made in an eTV interview earlier this year.

Amongst them, is that cartels are operating in Mpumalanga, which are extracting money from Eskom.

He also told the committee that his job was to manage Eskom, and not intervene with law enforcement investigations.

The former Eskom CEO has also remained tight-lipped on the identity of the ANC member who allegedly told him to turn a blind eye to the corruption at the power utility.
