‘CSA Should Tear Up de Kock’s Contract’

Cricket South Africa has remained mum over the Quinton de Kock saga.

It follows his decision to withdraw from the Proteas’ T20 World Cup match with the West Indies yesterday.

Speculation has widely linked his actions to the directive from Cricket SA for all team players to take the knee at the start of the match as a symbol of solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

Radio 786’s cricket analyst, Shafiek Noordien contends that if de Kock’s actions were motivated by his disagreement with the act of solidarity, then he should be fired from the national squad.
