Trade union Solidarity heads to court this Thursday to challenge the University of the Free State (UFS) over its planned mandatory Covid-19 vaccine policy for staff and students. The institute announced this policy last November.

Concerns of people losing their right to choose have been growing since last year. It’s caused problems for those who will be denied access to their other rights due to their opposing views on vaccines.

Solidarity will also be taking this matter further as it will affect workers who could be affected if they are not vaccinated against Covid-19.
