Big pharma’s monopoly in the Covid-19 pandemic

Access to preventative medication comes with several conditions, most often left in the hands of multinational pharmaceutical companies; all in the name of profit.

With the global rush to vaccinate against Covid-19, amidst the presence of the Omicron variant, these doses are in short supply. This as the developing world is at the mercy of pharmaceutical corporations and Western governments that are allowing their monopoly to continue.
