“Our bodies survived, but our souls died”.
This was the opening statement of Belal Khaled, a Palestinian photojournalist who experienced and documented 300 days of genocide in Gaza. Speaking during a panel discussion hosted by aid organization Gift of the Givers on Wednesday, 25th June 2025, Khaled opened up about the gruesome realities that Palestinian journalists have had, and those who are still alive continue to bear witness to.
