A man has been arrested in connection with Friday’s deadly shooting outside a mosque in Wynberg.

Police say the suspect was detained in Heideveld by the Anti-Gang Unit.

At least one person was killed and two others wounded when suspects fired shots on their vehicle. The men are said to have just exited the mosque when they were attacked. It’s suspected that the incident is gang-related.

The suspect is set to appear in the Wynberg Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
