Madlanga Commission Orders Further Feroz Khan Testimony Behind Closed Doors

The Madlanga Commission has ruled that further testimony by Feroz Khan will be heard behind closed doors next week. The ruling was issued in Pretoria by Commission Secretary, Dr. Nolita Vukuza, acting on the instructions of the chairperson.

The Commission ordered that questioning related to in camera evidence presented on 7 and 9 July 2026 will take place in camera on Tuesday. Khan has also been directed to submit a statement dealing with that evidence by midday tomorrow.

The ruling further prohibits anyone granted access to the proceedings from publishing, broadcasting, recording or distributing any part of the closed session. Only a limited number of individuals will be allowed to attend the proceedings.

These include the Chairperson and Commissioners, designated Evidence Leaders, legal representatives, and attorneys involved in the matter. Senior Counsel Advocate Adila Hassim and Advocate Thabang Pooe are among those permitted to be present.

Representatives from Diale Mogashoa Attorneys will also attend the hearing. The Commission says the restrictions are aimed at protecting the integrity and confidentiality of the evidence presented during the closed proceedings.
