Father Sentenced for Raping Three of His Daughters

A Malemesbury father has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping his three daughters.
The 52-year-old appeared in the Malmesbury Regional Court where the judgement was handed down after he pleaded guilty to the charges.
According to the police, the abuse started when the girls were as young as two years old and continued for years. According to investigators, the man would take the children, one at a time, to a holiday home where he sexually assaulted them.
SAPS spokesperson Thembakazi Mpendukana says the three victims disclosed the sexual abuse they endured throughout the years to their mother when the youngest daughter was 16.
The court further declared the father unfit to possess a firearm and ordered that his details be entered into the National Register for Sex Offenders.
Western Cape police praised investigating officer Felicity Balie of the Paarl Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit for her role in securing the conviction and sentence.
