The Israeli entity has slaughtered more than 250 people in Lebanon on Wednesday. The Lebanese Civil Defence says more than 1,120 other people have been wounded in the wave of Israeli terror.
The Zionists struck more than 100 sites within 10 minutes across all Lebanon. The strikes, believed to be the most aggressive, saw the “IDF” striking Dahye, the capital Beirut, Bekaa, the south, and Hermel.
– With its blind hatred, customary criminality, and infinite brutality, which have become an inherent nature, the “Israeli” enemy committed a series of mobile massacres today against safe civilians, targeting with dozens of brutal raids civilian areas in the Southern Suburb, the capital Beirut, Saida, the South, and the Bekaa, leaving hundreds of martyrs and wounded among children, women, and the elderly.
– This barbaric aggression, which represents at every turn clear war crimes and crimes of genocide by targeting crowded civilian places, markets, and commercial shops during peak hours, is nothing but a desperate attempt to take revenge on civilians after the failure of all attempts to break this honourable people and subdue them.
– Our honourable people and the sons of the country have proven that the brutality of the aggression has only increased their steadfastness, firmness, and commitment to the choice of resistance, no matter what great sacrifices they offer.
– This unbridled criminality is a clear expression of the disappointment suffered by the enemy after its catastrophic failure to achieve any of its goals and plans on various fronts, and after finding itself besieged by the reality of its defeat, unable and shackled from changing the equations imposed by the steadfastness of the peoples of Iran and Lebanon, and an expression of the state of collapse, confusion, and disarray that this crisis-ridden entity and its defeated army are living in due to the strikes of the fighters.
– We confirm that the blood of the martyrs and the wounded will not go in vain, and that today’s massacres, like all brutal attacks and crimes, confirm our natural and legal right to resist the occupation and respond to its aggression, and will increase our determination to resist and confront in order to curb the enemy, defend our people and our homeland, and protect our security in the face of ongoing aggression.
Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the temporary halt in direct hostilities with Iran but said Israel does not consider the agreement applicable to its ongoing aggression against Lebanon with expansion of the settler colonial entity already being the objective of the attacks. Israeli officials stated that its murderous operations in Lebanon would continue, framing them as essential to “national security” and separate from the Iran-focused ceasefire framework.
The continuation of Israeli war operations has directly challenged one of Iran’s core conditions for the ceasefire – an end to attacks on allied groups in the region, including Hezbollah. Iranian officials have warned that ongoing strikes in Lebanon could jeopardize the agreement entirely, raising the risk of a rapid collapse of the fragile truce.
A central point of contention has been conflicting interpretations of the ceasefire’s geographic scope. Pakistan, which played a key mediating role, asserted that the agreement would apply broadly across the region. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the ceasefire should extend “everywhere, including Lebanon,” reflecting Islamabad’s understanding of a comprehensive de-escalation.
However, both Israeli and U.S. officials rejected this interpretation, stating that the ceasefire pertains specifically to direct hostilities involving Iran and does not restrict Israel’s campaign against Hezbollah. This divergence has created diplomatic friction and uncertainty around the agreement’s durability.
Turkiye’s Foreign Ministry says Netanyahu’s government “continues to undermine international efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability”. It also condemned Israel’s intensifying attacks in Lebanon, which “are further exacerbating the humanitarian situation in the country”. The international community “must act without delay” to bring Israel’s “occupation of Lebanon” to an end.
Israel has issued “warnings and displacement” threats covering 14 percent of Lebanon and demolished Lebanese villages near the southern border with Israel as the Zionist entity seeks to occupy further land.
Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has accused Netanyahu of “contempt for life and international law” in light of today’s wave of attacks on Lebanon. “The international community must condemn this new violation of international law. The European Union must suspend its Association Agreement with Israel – and there must be no impunity for these criminal acts.”
The June 2000 EU-Israel Association Agreement is the legal basis for the EU’s trade relations with Israel. It provides a legal and institutional framework for political dialogue and economic cooperation between the bloc and Israel.
