Four people have been killed in a mass shooting in Nyanga. Among those killed are two women in their 20s. According to police unknown suspects opened fire on the victims at the Nyanga Hostels in Bush Street.

The motive for Sunday’s deadly attack is still unclear at this stage. No arrests have yet been made as detectives from the provincial serious and violent crime division pursue leads.

On Saturday three children and an adult were killed in an attack on a barber shop in Khayelitsha. The youngest victim in that mass shooting was five years old
