Criminals have disrupted learning at Crystal High School in Hanover Park.

They stole copper fittings and water pipes which resulted in the flooding of all classrooms on the first floor. It’s understood that the vandals entered the school through a window.

The school’s principal Dino Abrahams says due to the severe damage classes had to be suspended for today. He says it’s heartbreaking that their own community is breaking down the school, a second home, a place of learning.

Anyone with information about this crime has been urged to contact Philippi police on 021 690 1577.
