Two engineering students have used their final year projects to study the possibilities of using construction rubble as part of the sand in fresh concrete. Lepogo Maleka and Kgadimo Mohlatlole researched the sustainability of cement and concrete construction materials. The students’ projects investigated if construction waste can be recycled to create concrete.
