The United National Transport Union (UNTU) has slammed the proposal to have the Port of Cape Town privatised. The union expressed its shock at Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis’ suggestion saying he has no business calling for the privatization of state assets that were built over decades using funds from South Africa’s national fiscus.
