Two arrests in Loyiso Mabandla Nkohla case

A second person has been arrested inconnection with the murder of Cape Town activist and former ANC councillor Loyiso Mabandla Nkohla. Hawks spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Siyabulela Vukubi says the 38-year-old suspect was nabbed in Katlehong in Gauteng. Nkohla was shot dead in April while addressing the community at the Philippi railway station.

It’s believed he was targeted for his role in talks to relocate those living on the tracks of the Central Line. The suspect is expected to appear in the Pretoria Central Magistrate’s Court. The first suspect Zukisa Tshabile remains behind bars. He is expected to appear in a Cape Town court next year February.
