The Mitchells Plain United Traders Forum will be marching to the Cape Town Civic Centre to voice their grievances. Secretary for the Mitchells Plain United Hawkers Forum Shireen Rowland has cited concern over the lack of law enforcement enforcing informal trader’s by-laws.

She adds that the Mitchells Plain Town Centre has become over traded because illegal traders are just popping up and are not registered, taking away business from registered traders.

The group will be handing over a memorandum in an attempt to have the City acknowledge the challenges and difficulties informal traders face.
