Three people have been arrested in connection with a suspected R16-million security tender scam in Limpopo.
In 2024, the Hawks investigated the Blouberg Municipality following complaints about alleged irregularities in the awarding of the tender.
Investigators alleged the company that won the contract did not meet some of the mandatory requirements. The Hawks further revealed that firearm details submitted in the tender documents were allegedly linked to firearms belonging to other security companies.
The security company linked to the investigation has also been charged.
