Tazne van Wyk’s alleged killer pleads not guilty

The man alleged to have kidnapped and murdered Tazne van Wyk has plead not guilty to the charges.

Moehydien Pangaker appeared in the Western Cape High Court.

Court documents reveal a history of alleged sexual abuse of children in his family.

Pangaker aces 20 charges including rape, murder, sexual assault, kidnapping and defeating the ends of justice dating back to 2016.

Eight-year-old van Wyk was reported missing in February 2020. She was abducted just meters away from her home in Ravensmead. Her body was later found in a stormwater drain in Worcester.
