The house that survived an erupting volcanic eruption on La Palma in the Canary Islands in Spain, has officially been melted by pouring lava.

A retired Danish couple who owned the house expressed their devastation saying everything was destroyed in an instant. The house was dubbed the miracle house after evading lava flowing from the Cumbre Vieja volcano.

Since the eruption on September 19th, more than 6000 people were forced to evacuate the area. Last night, the lava officially reached the Atlantic Ocean sparking fears of potential explosions and the release of toxic gasses.
