Should we be weary of a second wave of Covid-19?

Despite South Africa’s Covid-19 recovery rate standing at about 90% of infections, there is concern that the country could be in for a second wave. The rate of infections is increasing, and if Europe is any example, South Africa may have to be more strict to once again flatten the curve. This is particularly the case, as this country cannot afford another lockdown.

So how do we continue under these conditions while ensuring that the infection numbers remain low? We’re joined by the Director of Research and Development at UWC, Professor Burtram Fielding. He is also a molecular biologist working mainly on coronaviruses since 2003…
