Ship Carrying Israeli Goods Shouldn’t Be Allowed To Offload In SA – BDS Block The Boat Project

Ships carrying Israeli goods should not be allowed to dock at any South African habour, and should instead take their business elsewhere. This is according to the Project Coordinator for the South African Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Coalition’s Block the Boat Project, Zuhayr Mohamed.

It comes as shipping company Zim Shipping Line – an Israeli company transporting Israeli goods,  is set to dock at the Durban port on July 10th. Mohamed says BDS is responding to a call from Palestinian trade and workers unions who appealed to the international community to not let ships carrying Israeli goods offload in their country.

Mohamed notes that habour workers, civil society, and workers unions are taking a stand against Apartheid-Israel by refusing to let the ship enter South Africa.
