SA’s Anti-Drug Policy Ineffective

South Africa has ranked 17th out of 30 countries in the Global Drug Policy Index.

The accountability tool looks at drug policies and their implementation. It uses five indicators which include the criminal justice system. 

South Africa scored high in the absence of extreme sentencing but low in policing.
