Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshaveni, has arrived in Russia to attend the International Meeting of High-level officials responsible for Security Matters this week.

The session is meant to discuss general trends in international, fuel, and food security.

This visit comes as South Africa has been dragged into the Russia-Ukraine conflict, after the US alleged that Pretoria had sent arms to Moscow last year.

An allegation which South Africa firmly denies.

Meanwhile, Minister Ntshaveni will engage relevant authorities on issues relating to the delegation of African leaders that will soon visit Russia and Ukraine for peace talks.

She has also sent a high-level delegation to Ukraine in preparation for this peace mission.
