Energy analyst Tshepo Kgadima was speaking amid the backdrop of the President Cyril Ramaphosa’s economic recovery plan and how it will fix South Africa’s energy crisis. The president yesterday announced that a priority intervention is to rapidly needed to expand energy generation capacity through accelerating the implementation of the Integrated Resource Plan. Kgadima adds that Integrated Resource Plan lacked detail and doesn’t reveal how it will meaningfully contribute towards economic recovery.
