About a thousand food hampers are being distributed to communities in Cape Town. According to Awqaf SA’s “Share the Care” campaign, which is in partnership with Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, close to 4,000 people will be supported by these hampers in areas such as Hanover Park, Parkwood, Lavender Hill, and Khayelitsha. This as many families continue to face the challenges of unemployment and food insecurity.

Awqaf SA CEO Mickaeel Collier says, through acts of giving and solidarity, this campaign, in its 10th year, is helping restore hope while reinforcing the values of compassion, dignity and Ubuntu within communities.
