Drugs with an estimated street value of R3.7 million has been confiscated on the N7 highway at the Klawer weighbridge.

Police officers attached to the Western Cape’s Operation Restore and Traffic Services made the bust following a tip-off that drugs were hidden in a silver Jaguar and a Jetta that it was carrying on a trailer.

The vehicles were apparently en-route to Cape Town.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg says a 60-year-old man was arrested on a charge of possession of drugs.
