Putin: progress in Ukraine talks

There has been some progress in the talks between Moscow and Kiev.

Russian President Vladimir Putin says that his negotiators have confirmed that there have been some positive shifts.

Russia’s offensive into Ukraine has entered its third week.

President Putin has told his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko that talks are being held almost daily.

Talks are also taking place between the two sides’ foreign ministers in Turkey’s city of Antalya.

But these have not yielded any results.

Russia says that it will halt the military operation instantly if Kiev meets Moscow’s list of conditions, including that Ukraine never attempts to join NATO.
