Prof Karim: Covid-19 – SA must count its lucky stars

There is no full understanding of why South Africa has handled the Covid-19 pandemic as well as it has.

Speaking to Radio 786, Chair of the Ministerial Advisory Committee, Professor Salim Abdool Karim noted that the early lockdown may have been the best decision this country could have taken. He was speaking as South Africa marks 224 days since the lockdown was announced.

The country has recorded over 730 500 Covid-19 infections.
