Positive Covid-19 case detected at Masjid-us-salaam

Masjid-us-Salaam in Athans Road, Athlone will be closed until further notice.

This, after a positive Covid-19 case, has been reported. Chairman of the masjid, Moosa Lawrence has advised all congregants who attended the masjid in the last week to self-isolate and take the necessary safety precautions.

Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 related deaths has again started to climb. The Health Department recorded 164 more Covid-19 related deaths, eight of which were from the Western Cape.

The country’s total recorded cases stand at 706 304. Almost more than 639 570 people have beaten the virus.
