The case before the International Court of Justice is testament to the failures of world powers. This is the contention of Director of the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Centre in Al Quds, Omar Harami. He was speaking as there’s been much concern about the arguments being made at the ICJ, especially when the argument of Israel’s occupation is based on the so-called 1967 borders.

Many international bodies, and Palestinians themselves, contend that Palestine has been occupied since 1948. Harami notes that the failures to end the decades of Israel’s occupation of Palestine is leading to a watered-down attempt at a solution to the violence being perpetrated by the Zionist regime.
