The Muslim Judicial Council has expressed shock following reports that a Muslim hearse had been used to illegally transport crayfish tails. A total of 5 400 West Coast rock lobster tails were found in a body bag in Gordon’s Bay.
One person has been arrested and is due in the Strand Magistrates Court once charged. Head of the MJC’s Burial Administration, Sheikh Riad Fataar will be investigating this matter.
The Council has called upon those who use religious symbols as a cover for their crimes to repent.
