Mandrax, dagga, tik – drug bust suspects in court

About R2000 worth of drugs has been seized at a residence in Komlossy street in Cafda Village. Steenberg Police’s Crime Prevention Unit made the bust.

They found mandrax tablets and powder as well as dagga. A 32-year-old woman was arrested. Steenberg police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg says the suspect will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s court today.

Meanwhile a 36-year-old man was arrested for the possession of tik in St Agatha street in Lavender Hill. Steenberg police found about 150 grams of tik in two plastic bags.

 It’s estimated to be worth R22 000. The man is set to appear in the Wynberg Magistrates Court.
