People in Lebanon are casting their votes in the parliamentary elections.

The Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah has stressed the importance of these polls saying it’s between those whose main concern is Lebanon and those who seek to please the United States. It comes as political parties close to Washington have yet again sought to disarm the resistance which has successfully confronted the plots of the West and Israel.

In 2018 the Loyalty to the resistance bloc and its allies managed to win a majority seats. But in late 2019, Lebanon’s economic and financial situation worsened – largely due to the US led sanctions imposed on Beirut as well as foreign intervention in its domestic affairs. There has been an ongoing Western campaign to weaken the resistance bloc.
