Muslims will observe Layla tul Isra and Mi’raj this evening.

It commemorates the journey that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) took from Makkah to Al Aqsa Mosque in what is now occupied Palestine.

It is said that he led other prophets in prayer at the Masjied-ul-Aqsa, and later ascended to the heavens.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) travelled on a winged steed, named the “Buraq”, on which he made the entire journey in just one night.

This observation comes as Palestinians are defending their land from Israeli occupation.

The Zionist regime has murdered 42 Palestinians in the first 40 days of this year.
