A KwaZulu-Natal family has made a gruesome discovery after their dogs dragged home a decomposed human skull.
According to the Reaction Unit SA’s Prem Balram, the family from Conifer Drive in Amazim-nyama contacted them this morning after they discovered a human skull in their yard. Upon arrival, reaction officers also discovered human remains on the lawn.
Balram says the homeowner informed them that two of his three dogs have the habit of exiting the property through a hole in the fence to forage in a dense bush next to the property.
Balram suspects that the dogs returned with the human remains while the owners were still asleep. Police were contacted and an inquest docket has been opened at the Verulam police for further investigation.
