Klipfontein road killer handed life sentence

Athlone police has secured several successful convictions. Last month, 35-year-old Elroy November was handed a life sentence in the Wynberg Regional court for the murder of 17-year-old Amber Palvi, in July 2020. She succumbed to a single knife wound to the neck. In September 19-year-old Yusri Davids was found guilty and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for aggravated robbery in the Wynberg Regional court. He and a friend had accosted and robbed their victim in Kilpfontein Road at gunpoint, in October last year.

In the same court, 27-year-old, Justin Marshall Williams was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, for murder and attempted murder after he fatally stabbed Reagan Jafta in Eighth Avenue Bokmakierie. All these arrests are due to the work of Detective Sergeant Keith Poggenpoel.
