At least four men including two Mozambican nationals have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of Cape Town businessman Ismail Rajah.

The 69-year-old was found at a house in Khayelitsha after more than three months of captivity. He was taken outside his company, Good Hope Construction in Parow.

Police say cellphones, and various equipment suspected to be used in the commission of crime were confiscated at the residence.

Police have confirmed that a ransom demand had been made following the March kidnapping and the family were reportedly en route to Dubai to expedite the payment when SAPS was roped in to investigate the case.

The suspects are due to appear in the Parow Magistrate’s court on Thursday.
