About a dozen Palestinians have been injured when Israeli occupation forces again targeted Al Aqsa Mosque.

The Zionist forces protected more than 400 colonial settlers as they desecrated the noble sanctuary.  Parts of the al-Qibli prayer hall were damaged. At least 10 Palestinians were kidnapped, including a French woman.

The Zionists were reportedly marking the anniversary of their occupation of Palestine in 1948, which they are observing on the 4th and 5th of May. Palestinians observe this day on May 15th, calling it the Nakba (or Catastrophe Day). This refers to the day when Zionist thugs violently drove hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homeland.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas has commended worshippers for their heroic defence of Al Aqsa. Hazem Qassem says that Palestinians have shown great bravery, and this will thwart the schemes of the occupiers. He says that the fear and anxiety that have filled the Zionist regime’s institutions and settlers show their defeat in the face of the Palestinian nation’s will and resistance.
