Pooke se Bos informal settlement residents have called out the City of Cape Town for failing to deliver on their promises of providing affordable housing. Radio 786 visited residents who protested and blocked off roads highlighting their grievances. One resident said that she’s been on the waiting list for 18 years and instead of being given a house like other residents, she was told that she should move from one shack into another provided by the city.
