The office is modern, easy to access and close to public transport. Services will be available by appointment only, helping clients avoid long queues.
Minister Schreiber said the new office will help reduce pressure on busy Home Affairs offices, while digital services and partnerships with banks are also making it easier for South Africans to access services such as Smart ID replacements.
He thanked Home Affairs staff and the City of Cape Town for helping make the new office possible.
