A health workers union has raised concern about the unclear logistical roll-out of the coronavirus vaccine plan. Nehawu indicates that there is little to no detail about the training of clinicians to vaccinate, or the geographic layout of the vaccination, especially for vulnerable cohorts.

It has called for more transparency in relation to the vaccine and urged government to move with speed in its procurement. It has also demanded that the government engage Russia and China about an emergency procurement of their vaccines for healthcare workers while they wait for the Covax delivery. It is expected only in the second quarter of this year.
