Hujaaj have reached the pinnacle of their pilgrimage, as the plains of Arafat are covered in white with millions converging on the mountain of mercy seeking forgiveness from the Creator, Allah.

The Hajj is characterised by several trials meant to test the mental, physical, and spiritual state of the pilgrim. And it’s through these trials that they emerge purified and tasked with uplifting their communities. Should we see the Hajj as a test of the self or a trial meant to fortify Muslims in their role as members of a society?
