The Gugulethu Community Policing Forum’s deputy chairperson, Lulama Dinginto has been murdered. It’s understood she was gunned down at her home during the early hours of Sunday morning. The circumstances surrounding the deadly attack are being investigated. The National Community Police Consultative Forum has expressed its deep sadness over this tragic loss and has remembered Dinginto for her dedication and contribution to keeping communities safe.
It has called for the national police commissioner to activate a 72-hour action plan to track down her killers. The forum says the gunning down of CPF members is a trend, referring to the targeting of anti-crime activists in KwaZulu-Natal.
