Golden Arrow employees halt to seeking a potential strike

Golden Arrow is seeking to halt a potential strike by employees linked to the National Union for All Sectors (NUFAS). In a statement, the bus service said that it has urgently approached the courts to challenge the industrial action. The matter is expected to be heard on Wednesday. According to the company the union issued a notice to its members advising them of an intention to embark on strike action from midnight on Thursday.

Golden Arrow Spokesperson Bronwen Dyke-Beyer: “The issues raised by NUFAS relate to the application of disciplinary processes. Golden Arrow does not accept the allegation that its procedures are applied unfairly. The company maintains that its policies are implemented in accordance with applicable labour legislation, collective agreements, established company procedures, and the principles of procedural fairness,”
