Today marks the launch of the 16 days of activism for no Violence against Women and Children campaign. It will be commemorated under the banner ‘Women’s economic justice for a non-violent and non-sexist South Africa’.
Gender-based violence has been regarded as a second pandemic in South Africa by President Cyril Ramaphosa. These upcoming 16 days will see civil organisations along with the government host a series of dialogues and campaigns to deal with this lingering issue in South Africa.
