Gaddafi: The man murdered for seeking Africa’s liberation

The neo-colonial support of the Zionist regime in its genocide of Palestinians is evidence of the West trying to maintain its hegemony in the West Asia region. And Libya is an example of how NATO member states used their military powers to overcome a nation and leader that posed a threat to the US hegemony in Africa.

In an interview on Radio 786, Libyan president, Muammar Gaddafi’s last spokesperson, Dr Moussa Ibrahim, affirmed that the West had propagated a narrative of vilifying figures who oppose their influence. Gaddafi had worked towards Africa’s liberation from the economic and military control of the West. As early as the 2000s, Gaddafi had worked to set up an African currency that would rival the US dollar and Euro.

Ibrahim says that he was witness to how the US sought to oppose this move. When Gaddafi did not budge, they launched the destabilisation attacks in Libya in 2011. The effect of this plot is still being felt today.
