Palestine is part of a bigger struggle against oppression.
This was the assertion of Palestinian activist, Muna el-Kurd while on her tour of South Africa.
Speaking in Sea Point this morning, el-Kurd drew comparisons between the anti-Apartheid struggle, and the enduring battle in Palestine against Israeli occupation.
She says that her community in Sheikh Jarrah endures daily threats of land theft, and arrest without charge.
However, they remain resilient in the face of the Zionist attempts to erase Palestine and its people.
She has urged the global community to join the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction campaign against Zionist Israel.
